Who we are

Instra-Swap is run by Daniel Zhang, an individual. Daniel Zhang is the data controller for personal information processed through the Service, which means he decides how and why it is used.

What we collect and why

• Sheet music you upload (files, screenshots, photos) — to transcribe and rewrite it for you (performance of our contract with you). Uploads are processed to produce your result and are not used to build a profile of you.
• Purchase information (such as your email and order details, received from Paddle) — to deliver what you bought and handle support (contract; legal obligation for records).
• Technical data (IP address, device and browser type, basic usage logs) — to run, secure and improve the Service and prevent fraud (legitimate interests).
• Messages you send us — to answer support requests (legitimate interests).

We keep an unpaid copy of your upload only on your own device (in your browser) so your purchase can finish if the page reloads during checkout.

Who we share it with

• Service providers that host the Service and run the AI that reads your sheet music, acting on our instructions.
• Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of the product, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
• Professional advisers (such as legal and accounting) where needed.
• Authorities where required by law.

We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above (purchase records as long as the law requires), then delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your information, to object to or restrict its use, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data protection authority. We respond to requests within one month.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and restricted access.

Cookies

We only use essential browser storage needed for the Service and checkout to work. We do not use advertising cookies.
